Society Events

group DSC 0045 CopyBoth at National level and within each Chapter, we hold events which members are able to attend.

Chapters hold regular lectures given by members, scholars and experts in Ancient Egypt, which cover topics that cover the full history of Ancient Egypt. Chapters also periodically hold fund-raising events and social meetings where members can support the society as well as meet with each other on less formal terms.

At National level, we hold an annual Scholars' Colloquium and Symposium weekend, usually in early November. This co-incides with our Annual General Meeting. We also hold periodic fund-rasing and other events, such as the annual Sally Katary Memorial lecture.

Our next event is the annual Scholars' Colloquium and 48th Annual Symposium. The events are being held November 1, 2 and 3 in-person Toronto and online via Zoom. The title of the November 2 Symposium is Aswan: Source of Wonders. See the Weekend Agenda by clicking here
