In Sickness and in Health: The Healing Arts in Ancient Egypt
Three days of fascinating, illustrated talks on Zoom, plus the SSEA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Every year, the SSEA/SÉÉA presents an annual weekend of talks on ancient Egypt, in conjunction with its Annual General Meeting. This year, the Symposium on Saturday Nov. 5 was entitled “In Sickness and in Health: The Healing Arts in Ancient Egypt”, a topic inspired by the times in which we find ourselves living. Talks by 9 leading scholars including Dr. James Allen, Dr. Roger Forshaw and Kasia Szpakowska. Adjoining this themed event were two days when graduate students and senior scholars gave a series of brief, enjoyable talks presenting their work in fields related to ancient Egypt.
